Grace Episcopal Church Sunday Lunches
Grace Episcopal Church is currently serving almost 200 meals a week at their Sunday lunches, and they desperately need help! Volunteers are needed for both meal preparation and serving--ideally 4-6 people to cook and 2-3 people to serve each week. If you would like to be a part of a team, please contact Chris Hodges (336-250-5960). These meals serve the working poor and their families who are especially challenged by the recent increase in food prices.

Prayer Gifts 4 Missions Outreach
Can you touch a prayer? Can you pull it close and feel its comfort? You can, if it’s part of a prayer gift.
This interfaith outreach ministry combines the gift of prayer with the gift of a handmade tied fleece blanket, knit or crochet shawl or a twin size quilt for those needing prayer in our church and our community.
After these gifts are made, they are put on the altar rail for our congregation to have the opportunity to pray over them before the recipient receives the prayer gift.
These gifts of love and prayer are an affirmation of our faith in God and our belief in God’s power to comfort, strengthen and heal.
Please contact Patricia Dance for more details how your gifts can be used for this mission outreach from our church.
P.S. During worship services on Sunday and Midday Prayer Gathering on Wednesdays, you are invited to come to the altar and pray for those who will receive the prayer gift. Pray while tying a double square knot with a print and solid strip on the fleece blanket or just laying hands and praying on the altar gifts that are presented.
PLEASE NOTE: Patricia Dance has received some yarn donated to the Prayer Gifts 4 Mission Outreach to be made for, prayed for, and given to Hospice of Davidson County. If anyone would like to crochet or knit a prayer shawl or shawls for Hospice, please contact Patricia Dance or the church office.
