First UMC, 310 S. Main Street, Lexington, NC 27292, is the OCC Shoebox Relay Center in Davidson County.
As the shoeboxes from all across the community are delivered at the State Street entrance, volunteers receive and pack them in larger shipping boxes for delivery to the OCC Processing Center in Charlotte, NC via tractor-trailer truck.
Each September, a Community OCC Kick-Off is hosted at First UMC to give people the opportunity to get their supplies for their church and/or community campaign.
