2025 Laity Service Award Selection Information

The Laity Service Award is a means of recognizing each year in the local church deserving lay persons whose work in the local church and community exemplifies a life of Christian stewardship. 

The purpose of the award is to recognize worthy individuals, especially those whose work in the life of the church may not otherwise be recognized. This might be the anonymous servant of Christ who works behind the scenes, often unnoticed and often unappreciated, who cooks a meal, who opens the church doors and turns on the lights, who teaches children Sunday school, who works in the local school or volunteers with a local caring agency.  In lifting up lay persons, all persons are honored.

Our newly selected Lay Persons of the Year will be named and honored on Laity Sunday on October 19.

Nomination forms are available by mail, email and on our website. It is customary for our church to name one male and one female as Lay Persons of the Year.  It is recommended that the same person not be selected more than once in five years.   Click & Go to view/print a copy of the Recipient List
