SPRING Small Groups

The Evangelism & Hospitality Team is sponsoring small groups for Spring 2026 to offer opportunities to encourage and promote fellowship among First UMC members. Participation is voluntary. The time and location for each class will be determined by the group leaders with input from the group. Classes will start March/April. In an effort to encourage participation from First UMC members, they will be accommodated first, and then the groups will be opened up to friends and community.

Crafting - Led by Terri Hawley - Group Size: Up to 10 people - Learn to make beautiful crafts.

Chair Volleyball - Led by Lisa & Gil Bonnaure  Group Size: Open - ALL ages welcomed! - Play volleyball with a beachball while sitting in a chair.

Trains - Led by William Deal  Group Size: Open - Learn about trains and the history of trains

Pickleball – Led by Mike Niver  Group Size: Limit 8

Knitting – Led by Marsha Garwood  Group Size: Limit 8 

Quilting – Led by Judy Deal (Morning & Evening) Group Size: Limit 4 in the morning & 4 in the evening

Chair Yoga - Led by Lauren Jackson

Game Group – Led by Karen Bias

Floral Design – Led by Sean Bishop  (Small fees for materials) Group Size: Limit 16
